The Wallendas, famous high wire act of the Ringling circus, went through their death-defying double pinwheel in Madison Square Garden, New York on April 15, 1944, with a new lineup because of post-divorce nervousness of Herman and Elizabeth. The new team, left to right are Herman, Henrietta, who replaced Elizabeth, Helen, and Karl. The act works without a net.
